Prof.Yik-Chung Wu, The University of Hong Kong, China (IEEE Senior Member)
Biography: Yik-Chung Wu received the B.Eng. (EEE) degree in 1998 and the M.Phil. degree in 2001 from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He received the Croucher Foundation scholarship in 2002 to study Ph.D. degree at Texas A&M University, College Station, and graduated in 2005. From August 2005 to August 2006, he was with the Thomson Corporate Research, Princeton, NJ, as a Member of Technical Staff. Since September 2006, he has been with HKU, currently as an Associate Professor. He was a visiting scholar at Princeton University, in summers of 2015 and 2017.
His research interests are in general areas of signal processing and communication systems, and in particular Bayesian inference, distributed algorithms, and large-scale optimization. Dr. Wu served as an Editor for IEEE Communications Letters, and IEEE Transactions on Communications. He is currently a Senior Area Editor for IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, an Associate Editor for IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, and an Editor for Journal of Communications and Networks. He was a symposium chair for many international conferences, including IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2023 and IEEE Globecom 2025. He received four best paper awards in international conferences, with the most recent one from IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2020. He was a top 1% scholar (ranked by Clarivate Analytics) for seven consecutive years (2015-2021). He was elected the Best Editor of the year 2023 in IEEE Wireless Communications Letters. He is an elected member of IEEE signal processing society SPCOM Technical Committee (2025-2026), and an IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Distinguished Lecturer (2025 class).
Prof.Lu Leng, School of Software, Nanchang Hangkong University, China (IEEE/ACM/CCF/CSIGI/CAAI Member)
Biography: LU LENG received his Ph.D degree from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, P. R. China, in 2012. He performed his postdoctoral research at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing, P. R. China. He was a visiting scholar at West Virginia University, USA, and Yonsei University, South Korea. Currently, he is a full professor, the dean of Institute of Computer Vision, the office director of Jiangxi Province Key Laboratory of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition at Nanchang Hangkong University.
Prof. Leng has published more than 100 international journal and conference papers, including more than 70 SCI papers and three highly cited papers. He has been granted several scholarships and funding projects, including six projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He serves as a reviewer of more than 100 international journals and conferences. His research interests include computer vision, biometric template protection, biometric recognition, medical image processing, data hiding, etc.
Prof. Leng was awarded Jiangxi Youth May-4th Medal, and is an outstanding representative of "Innovation Talent" of Jiangxi Enterprise in "Science and Technology China", "Jiangxi Hundred-Thousand-Ten-thousand Talent Project", "Jiangxi Voyage Project", etc.
Prof. Kei Eguchi, Fukuoka Institute of Technology, Japan (IEEE Member)
Biography: Kei Eguchi (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng., M.Eng., and D.Eng. degrees from Kumamoto University, Kumamoto, Japan, in 1994, 1996, and 1999, respectively. From 1999 to 2006, he served as a Lecturer and subsequently as an Associate Professor at Kumamoto National College of Technology. He was then appointed Associate Professor at Shizuoka University, where he worked from 2006 to 2012. In 2012, he joined the Faculty of Fukuoka Institute of Technology, where he is currently a Professor. Between 2021 and 2025, he held the position of Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering at the same institution. His research interests include power converters, switching converters, energy harvesting, nonlinear systems, integrated circuits and systems, intelligent systems, and non-thermal food processing. Dr. Eguchi is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ) and currently serves as President of the Intelligent Networks and Systems Society. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the IEEE Outstanding Reviewer Award (TPEL) in 2024 and 2022, the IEEE Star Reviewer Award (JESTPE) in 2023 and 2022, the ICIC International Outstanding Contribution Award, the Top Peer Reviewer Award 2019 (Web of Science), the 2016 Institute of Industrial Applications Engineers Award, the 2016 Contribution Award of the Japan Society of Technology Education, the KKU-IENC2014 Outstanding Paper Award, the 2010 Takayanagi Research Encourage Award, the 2010 Paper Award of the Japan Society of Technology Education, and Best Paper Awards from various international conferences. He has published over 200 papers in international journals and conferences.
Prof. Qingsheng Zeng, Université du Québec an Outaouais, Canada (Senior Member of IEEE)
Biography: Qingsheng Zeng received his Ph.D. from University of Ottawa, Canada, and is currently a professor and PhD advisor of Université du Québec an Outaouais (UQO), an adjunct professor and PhD advisor of University of Ottawa, Carleton University, and Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique -- Centre Energie, Matériaux et Télécommunications (INRS-EMT). He has been a research engineer and a senior research engineer at Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC), Government of Canada. Dr. Zeng has undertaken research and teaching in several fields, including analysis and design of aircraft antennas, electromagnetic compatibility and interference (EMC/EMI), ultrawideband technology, radio wave propagation, computational electromagnetics. He has been the Chair of AP (Antennas and Propagation) / MTT (Microwave Theory and Techniques) Joint Chapter and Secretary of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Chapter of IEEE Ottawa, a Member of IEEE Canada Industry Relations Committee, and a senior member of IEEE. Dr. Zeng has been a member of the Strategic Projects Grant (SPG) Selection Panel (Information and Communications Technologies B) for the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), a member of Site Visit Committee of NSERC Industrial Research Chair (IRC), and a reviewer of NSERC Industrial R&D Fellowships.
He has published more than 200 SCI and EI indexed papers and technical reports, authored one book and co-authored two book chapters. His work on the project “Aggregate Interference Analysis and Suitability of Some Propagation Models to Ultra-wideband Emissions in Outdoor Environments” has formed one part of Consultation Paper on the Introduction of Wireless Systems Using Ultra Wideband Technology, Spectrum Management and Telecommunications Policy, Industry Canada, and has been taken as a significant contribution to International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Dr. Zeng has been serving as an editorial board member and a reviewer for a number of technical books and scientific journals, as a conference co-chair, a session chair and organizer, a technical program committee co-chair and member and a reviewer, a short course/workshop/tutorial presenter and a keynote speaker for many international and national symposia. He has won several technical and technical service awards, was ranked as one of the researchers at Communications Research Centre Canada with the strongest impacts in 2011, selected as a distinguished expert under the Plan of Hundreds of Talents of Shanxi Province in China during 2015, an oversea prestigious advisor in Guangdong Province twice in 2017 and in 2019, a Huashan Mountain Scholar Chair Professor of Xidian University in 2020, and a distinguished expert for HOME Program of China Association for Science and Technology in January 2023, and was elected as a member of the Council of the Academicians and Experts Association of Jilin Province in December 2023.
Associate Prof. Yanqing Xu, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen
Biography: Yanqing Xu received the Ph.D. degree in communication and information system from the State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, China, in 2019. He was a senior engineer with Huawei Technologies Company Ltd., from July 2019 to July 2020. From September 2020 to August 2022, he was a PostDoc researcher with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, where he is currently working as a research assistant professor. He is also with the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data. Dr. Xu’s current research interest lies in signal processing algorithm designs for large-scale antenna systems, pinching-antenna systems, and integrated sensing and communication systems. Dr. Xu served as a special session co-organizer and chair in IEEE SPAWC 2024. He was a recipient of the Shenzhen Overseas High-Caliber Personnel and the Top 3% Paper Recognition of the IEEE ICASSP 2023. Several of his research outcomes have been successfully deployed in Huawei’s wireless networks, for which he has received the Huawei Technical Cooperation Achievement Transformation Award (1st Prize) in 2024, the Huawei Wireless Product Line Outstanding Technical Cooperation Project Award in 2024, and the Huawei Technical Cooperation Achievement Transformation Award (2nd Prize) in 2022. He is currently serving on the Editorial Board of EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking.
